How is the Default.aspx file build (at site root)?

Because of a analysis of a hacking attack to our site (running GraffitiCMS 1.2) I have a question: how (and is it dynamic at all) is the default.aspx build/re-build located at the root of the site? This version creates sub-folders for each main category and tag, so I assume if I change a setting (what to include at the "home" page) it may re-generate the default.aspx in the root too?

Or do they look all the same? Just as a redirect helper to jump into the "controller"...?

As far as I know, the default.aspx in the root of the site never changes and is not dynamically regenerated. It is not the same as any other default.aspx. You should be able to grab a copy from a fresh download of graffiti. Each of the other default.aspx files in the sub folders is custom generated, assuming you are using folder generation at all on a version of IIS older than 7, otherwise you dont need them at all.

Thanks, that info may help to track it down.
