Having trouble pinpointing why website that uses Graffiti as CMS is experiencing back-end slowness

Jun 3, 2014 at 2:15 PM
Recently, our organization's website was set up using Graffiti CMS 1.3 Beta. However, while the website runs relatively fast (1 to 2 seconds to load any given page on the site) on the front-end, it is experiencing major lag times on the back-end (it takes around 15 seconds to 30 seconds to load pages and when doing database work, it can take much longer). Does anyone with experience in Graffiti 1.3 Beta know if this is just a drawback of using Graffiti (fast on the front-end, slow on the back-end)? Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, how did you go about solving the problem (i.e. what exactly is the problem?)?

Thanks!
